ClearSite
Free instant audit · WCAG 2.1 A/AA

Your website is turning customers away.

Missing alt text, unlabelled forms, buttons a keyboard can't reach — the defects that lock disabled visitors out of your site are the same ones that draw ADA demand letters. Scan any page free and see them in about ten seconds.

No account, no card. We read the page your server returns — nothing is changed on your site.

Fix it, then prove you keep fixing it

Most accessibility tools hand you a wall of error codes and leave. ClearSite gives you the defect, the plain-English reason it matters, the exact code that fixes it — and then keeps watching so it doesn't come back.

Audit

Every page is checked against WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA criteria that can be tested from the markup and stylesheet. You get a score, a grade and a severity-ranked list.

Fix

Each finding comes with the reason it blocks a real person, and copy-paste code showing the corrected markup. Hand it to whoever maintains your site.

Monitor

Sites drift. New pages, new plugins, a redesign. ClearSite re-audits on a schedule and keeps a dated record of what was found and what you fixed.

Why the dated record matters A published accessibility statement and a documented, ongoing remediation effort are what distinguish a business that is working on the problem from one that ignored it. ClearSite generates both. It is not legal advice and it is not a certification — no tool can issue one.

What every scan checks

26 automated checks mapped to specific WCAG 2.1 success criteria. No black box — you see the criterion, the severity and the offending markup for every finding.

Straight answers

Does this make my site ADA compliant?

No, and be sceptical of anything that says it does. Automated testing of any kind reliably detects roughly a third of WCAG criteria — the machine-checkable ones. Whether your alt text is meaningful, whether focus order makes sense, whether a video's audio description is adequate: those need a human. ClearSite finds and helps you fix the machine-detectable defects, and documents that work. For a conformance claim you need a manual audit with assistive-technology users.

Is this one of those accessibility overlay widgets?

No. We do not put a script on your site, we do not change anything on your pages, and we do not claim a one-line fix. Overlays have themselves become a target of litigation. ClearSite reads your page from the outside and tells you what to change in your own code.

What exactly do you look at?

The HTML and CSS your server returns for each page, plus the linked structure to find your other pages. We fetch each page once, with a 15-second timeout, identifying ourselves as ClearSiteBot. We never submit forms, never log in, and never follow links off your domain.

Will it catch problems in my JavaScript app?

Partly. We audit the HTML your server sends. If your site renders its content entirely in the browser with JavaScript, we see the shell and not the content — the scan will look suspiciously clean, and we tell you when the page had almost nothing in it. Server-rendered and static sites (WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, most small-business sites) are fully covered.

Who is this for?

Businesses with a website and no accessibility specialist — clinics, restaurants, trades, retailers, professional services — and the agencies and freelancers who build for them. If you have an in-house accessibility team, you already own heavier tooling.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time, from your dashboard. Your reports stay available until the end of the period you paid for.
